Sample Treatment
1. We measure the energetic status of acupuncture meridian first in every treatment.
2. Patient will be able to see the results and discuss with practitioner as practitioner does some additional palpation around arm and ask questions related to chief complaint and other symptoms.
3. Patient will then move to the treatment table as practitioner takes pulses and palpate neck, abdomen, and feet.
4. Treatment starts with magnetic discs, moxa or needles depending on the result of examination and where the imbalances at the meridian level needs to be treated. Auricular points are also tested and treated.
5. After 10-15 minutes of rest, 2nd part of treatment focuses on the back and could include cupping to move circulation and needling and moxa to supplement and balance organs.
6. After another 5-10 minutes rest, all needles are removed and patient could get up and get dressed. At this time, the practitioner will give lifestyle and exercise advice and discuss next steps in treatment plan.
Above is the general flow of a treatment at our clinic. Your treatment might be slightly different depending on the conditions. Our treatment is 65 minutes and provides ample time to address issues at multiple levels.
